James Kermode

Dr. James Kermode is a Reader at the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick which he joined in 2014. In his work he develops multiscale materials modelling algorithms and software for applications in “chemomechanical” materials failure processes, as well as developing and applying tools for machine learning and predictive modelling at the atomic scale more generally.

He has received funding from EPSRC, the Royal Society, the Leverhulme Trust and the European Commission, and is co-director of both the Warwick Centre for Predictive Modelling and the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Modelling of Heterogeneous Systems (HetSys).
